Blushing

jacket: h+m // top: loft // dress pants: rw+co // bag: coach // necklace: suzy shier // shoes: unknown (singapore)

Today's post features one of my go-to business casual looks - something that's comfortable and most importantly, easy to put together on those mornings before heading out to work. This gorgeous bag was a graduation gift from my auntie. I had been wanting to get a tote so I can fit my work essentials like my notebook, file folders, iPad, etc... its like she read my mind!

Since our weather has been mild, I decided to pull out this H&M bomber jacket, an oldie but a goodie that I used to wear all.the.time. Now that I have got it out, I'll probably go back to wearing it all.the.time! I'm also SO thankful that Loft decided to grace us Canadians with a retail store here. Although its not that close for me to get to (probably a good thing), I do like to pick up a few pieces when I'm in the area. This blouse was one of them which I found in their (amazing) clearance section.

What pieces are you looking forward to wearing for the spring?

Two Look Tuesday :: Flowy Dresses

dress: ross // blazer: h+m // boots: old navy // sunnies: chanel

dress: isabel marant for h&m // coat: topshop // purse & leather jacket : zara // boots: guess via marshalls

As you can see from these pictures, the weather is at polar opposites on each end of our beautiful country, but that hasn't stopped us from finding a winter to spring transitional piece that works for both spectrums.

Whether you're on the West or East coast, flow dresses can be incorporated in your winter to spring transitional wardrobe. Throw on a pair of tights, jacket (or two if you're on the East!) and you're good to go.

Manicure Monday :: Pink Me

While recently cleaning out my nail polish collection, I threw out an empty bottle of OPI's Pink Flamenco - a gorgeous spring/summery hot pink shade that was quick to finish in my collection! While half content to be on a good start to my spring cleaning, I was also half sad that I had to throw out this gorgeous colour. And then I stumbled upon Essence's Pink Me during a random stop at my local Shopper's Drug Mart. I looked at it and instantly knew this would be the perfect replacement for my OPI Pink Flamenco. OPI's digitally enhanced swatch of Pink Flamenco is slightly off in my opinion, but you can take my word on this one! ;)

Don't you love finding amazing dupes - that are also a fraction of the cost!?

Top 5 Spring Polish Picks

We are just under a month away from the first official day of spring, but the weather in Vancouver has already been feeling like spring for the last 1-2 weeks! I can't even remember the last time I wore my winter coat and my light-sensitive eyes have already been acting up to the brightness. Crazy, I know. The pretty cherry blossoms have also started sprouting around town. My first cherry blossom sighting of the season was actually while I was in Downtown Seattle a couple of weeks ago - and it was in full bloom!

Since the weather has got me in the spring-y mood, I thought I'd share with you my top 5 polish picks for the season. The best part is, they're all under $6, so no breaking the bank. ;)

Ok, I'll stop with how awesome our West Coast weather has been because I'm pretty sure I'm getting some Internet glares from our East Coast readers. Oops!

Happy (belated) Valentines Day loves! I thought I'd share with you what I've been up to to embrace this love-filled festivity.

An "I'm with Cupid ---<3 night dress had my name all over it.

If I haven't already mentioned in a previous post, one of my goals this year is to send more hand-written cards.

I obviously had to snap the moment of me mailing them - otherwise it didn't happen, right?

Whipped up a batch of PINK velvet mini loaves for my Galentine's Night with a couple of my favourite girlfriends.

Is Valentine's Day complete without some pink, red, and glitter? I don't think so.

Galentine's Night in full effect! Complete with fuzzy heart print socks.

Recipe :: Date Balls

Here's a recipe for a quick and healthy snack.It requires no baking and only use a handful of ingredients.

The ingredients you'll need:

-3 cups of dates
-1 cut of walnuts
-1/4 cup of dark chocolate
-1/4 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
-1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
-2 tablespoons of cococut oil

Step 1: Using a food processor grind up the walnuts, dates and dark chocolate. Add all the ingredients into a mixing bowl and add the remaining items ( shredded coconut, coconut oil, vanilla extract) then mix everything together.
Step 2: Once everything is mixed together being to form small balls.

Step3: Roll the balls in left over coconut flakes or cocoa powder.

Hope you give it a try!
