Breathe Natural Wellness

Breathe in... breathe out

Who knew something as simple as that has over 20 benefits for the mind and body? Its something we all take for granted and often forget to stop and take a deep breath to free ourselves of certain tensions.

While you're doing all this breathing, why not breathe in something that smells nice... and can also help alleviate certain symptoms while you're at it! I had heard about Saje when I moved to Canada some-odd 18 years ago, and it took me some-odd 18 years for me to try it! Saje has had a location at my local mall all these years but I was never prompted to visit the store until a good friend of mine had a nebulizer (aka diffuser for essential oils) at his home - that was it, I was hooked and I knew I had to have one too.

Even after purchasing my first round of essential oils, I was skeptical that they would actually alleviate any symptoms like headaches or sleep-deprivation. I was drawn to Saje's products because of the naturally derived oils which smelt really good and I knew it was better than burning chemically derived candles. I had no idea the surprise I was in for! Read on to check out the oils I've got in my collection so far.

PS - As a side note, Saje Natural Wellness is a Vancouver-based company that is taking over the natural wellness industry, one drop of essential oil at a time!

If you're wondering where the nebulizer/diffuser is, believe it or not, its that silver dome that looks like a piece of decor. The AromaGem lasts for about 4-4.5 hours on continuous and about 6 hours on intermittent diffusing.

yoga: orange, patchouli, indian neroli, champa, and rosewood

I personally like to use this one when I need to stay focused, they do have oils specifically for mental alertness, but I preferred this scent much more. Fun fact for all you Lululemon fans, all their stores diffuse this scent!

lemongrass: 100% pure lemongrass

My personal favourite. This especially came in handy when I (and the rest of Vancouver) was fighting a nasty cold at the end of December. I even put in a about 8-10 drops of this oil into my bath to help clear my sinuses. Its also a double duty as it helps to relieve muscle aches and pains, which I was also had when down with the sniffles.

tantra: orange, patchouli, champa, indian neroli and cinnamon

Very simliar to yoga, however the hint of cinnamon is perfect for those cold, rainy days in. Although 'tantra' would suggest something "exotic," it really just creates a warm and inviting environment.

unwind: orange, bergamot, lavender, geranium, and cinnamon

My most used essential oil. Need I say more? This coupled with the use of my Saje sleep mask, that's infused with crushed chamomile and lavender, and I'm sleeping like a baby.

Since I picked these items up over Christmas time, they had a special where you could purchase this reed diffuser for only $10! I usually keep this one in the bathroom, although it had to make its appearance to my home office since the bathroom isn't exactly in picture perfect condition right now. ;)
